Adaptor All Gas

This is the seventh time ive installed a cd player in a vehicle. Went up to grab my adaptor to put a deck in a car, and yes i grabbed the right adaptor, the one made for my car, year, etc. and i hooked everything up. today i was driving and my RPM and MPH, gas gauge, car temp, etc controls went down to zero then back up again. I was doing about 70 when this happened. then all my controls, trac off, service engine soon, security, light came on and stayed on. wtf?, so i shut my car off and turned it back on. The service engine light, trac off, etc etc went off then turned back on again after five minutes of driving? any suggestions
