Green gas itself IS actually propane with 1% added silicon oil and without the smell tracer of standard propane. However, in order for it to work you need a propane Adaptor and a few drops of silicon.
Using a standard one pound propane bottle as a substitute for Green Gas will generally save you money. Camping or general stores sell propane for much less than real green gas. The adaptor allows you to fill your green gas soft air gun directly from the propane bottle. As previously stated, green gas has about 1% silicone for lubrication so you will occasionally have to add a drop of oil to your gun. To be honest, standard propane often makes your gun have better performance if maintained correctly.
