What would you do if you where stranded?
Ok lets say you are stranded on an island of the cost of cuba and all you had was the clothes on your back a dead cellphone 2 pens your wallet ~WALLET CONTENTS= 3 $1 dollar bills and 1 $100 dollar bill 2 plastic gift cards a picture of your family and a bee sting kit ( BEE STING KIT CONTAINS ALCOHOL AND BERYL EXTRACT IMPORTANT!!) a hershy bar rapper and a napkin no shoes or socks ( you lost them ) and lets say you are soaked with ocean water when you arrived and when you do arrive you imediatly see barrel containing some oil (3 gallons of oil remaining) and a bottle and various pieces of dead fish) TELL ME HOW YOU WOULD SURVIVE FOR 3 DAYS AND YOU WIN !
3 days would be really easy, stranded indefinitely might be harder.
Id start by taking off the wet clothes.. laying them on a rock to dry before sundown.. wet clothes kills in a survival situation!
Id then make a shelter.. of anything on the island.. ideally palm branches and bows and mound up the sand for a bit of wind resistance. AFter the shelter, Fashion a spear or weapon from a peice of wood, Id break the credit card into as sharp of a peice as I could make it.. and attach it to the end by cutting a groove in the stick with a rock.
Id strew the fish pieces around in an effort to attract birds or animals to the area. (Iwould not toss the pieces ANYWHERE near my shelter, but out away from it!) and wait for anything that comes along to eat the fish... say a bird or a reptile like a lizard or something. Ideally Id take a fresh kill by sundown... say a few small lizards.
Id start a fire with the oil, and Id see if the beryl extract (Im assuming beryl is the crystal right?) Id see if it could spark with a rock ala flint.. if not, the old rubbing sticks method wouldnt even take too long with flammable oil all around).
Cook the lizards and eat them. save some for later, but eat some now.
Next step, WATER! This is the hardest part... but do-able if your shirt has dried out. All you do is boil the water , and as the water is boiling, put a dried cloth (ideally plastic bag, but we dont have one) over the top of the boiling bottle... collect the water vapors as they exit the bottle. This takes a while, but after the shirt is somewhat soaked with steam vapors, ring it out into your mouth! fresh de-salinized water! This process can be done all night, collecting water as you ring out your shirt into your mouth.
Day 2- SHADE! shade from sun is of the utmost importance... work in the early AM when its not so hot, try not to sweat.. stop when the sun is hot.. start again at around 3 or 4pm. Just improve the shelter, work on catching more animals.. maybe go forraging for some wild plants or fruits... coconuts are VERY common in that area.. as are palm trees. you can cut into a palm tree and get some of the oil out.. boil it and eat it.. palm oil is very fatty and can keep you goin!
Day 3- same thing, water via boiling sea water.. and collecting it in a dry piece of cloth.... and just trying to expend the least amount of energy as is possible to conserve your body's fuel!
