What is the best all-around paintball marker ($200-350 Range)?
I currently have a Tippmann A-5 Response Trigger, Jj ceramic 16 inch barrel, 3000 nitro remote. I plan on playing woodsball, as well as speedball. I was considering the Ion, or Invert mini. I would prefer something of the sort, not too big, not a picky gun as far as paintballs/upgrades, something I can get a good barrel on, with a higher rate of fire.
The G3 and SLG sound interesting, though I've heard the G3 ramps after 5 bps, which will be tough to manage. Anyone know how the Proto does in that field?
I would go Invert Mini, for several reasons:
It's the best stock, out-of-the-box performer in the price range, so you don't need to spend a lot of money on upgrades. 25 bps with the stock board and a good loader, a nice barrel, and built in regulator are all part of the package.
It's very easy to maintain, and simple to upgrade if you decide you want to, and is a bit more reliable and durable than the Proto.
The Mini is slightly more efficient than the other markers you mention, and is very easy on paint, so you won't have many breaks, and if you do, it's easy to strip/clean quickly.
It's an incredibly small and light package, which I like for both speedball and woodsball.
Invert has great customer service.
I have lots of markers ranging from several Tippmanns to Dye and Bob Long markers, but the Mini is one of my favorites, for all the above reasons, and it's perhaps the best value put there in paintball markers.
