Today, I met this lady that told me her husband was a marine. I helped her carry her baggage and other stuff to the airport from her hotel. Among her luggage, she had the gun there with a case, and plenty of ammo bullets on a plastic bag. She told me I can have it because they may not let her take in check-in. I did not take it. She took it anyway. My question is, aren't each and every bullet counted and registered to the owner of the gun?. How did she handle the guns and bullets that were all over the hotel car if it belonged to her marine husband. I thought they were not allowed anybody else to handle them or even keep them?
She wasn't giving me the gun, just the bullets she thought they wouldn't let her take it to the airplane.
It may have been his own weapons. However, the fact that she said he is a marine, I took as if this was his military gun. Than again, why should she travel with the gun and bullets in a plastic bag?
It was his personal weapon, bought and paid for by him. Any weapon issued by the military will stay at that base during a normal change of duty stations.
