im looking to buy my first high-end airsoft gun and ive ben looking around at the different brands and guns. ive got it narrowed down to TM, classic army, and ics. my friends have ics, and they seem to be good guns but i want something different. i also now that TM guns are supposed to be some of the best guns made, but i like the looks of classic army guns better. if you can, help me decide
If you want total dependability go for a TM gun, they're 99.9% reliable out of the box and can take years of normal use without much problem. CA guns tend to be slightly less reliable though still about 85% good from the box and very durable.
To get the most reliable CA guns, go for the ones that have been around for a few years. (M4, G36 etc) CA have a reputation for their new releases being buggy and then ironing out the kinks in later batches.
The build quality of CA guns is usually better, they use reinforces plastics rather than ABS, sometimes use steel rather than cast aluminum etc. Generally when they fail it's due to mechanical faults and the fact that the come pre-upgraded to 1joule as standard.
I'm afraid I have no first hand experience of ICS guns.
