What are some good rifles?
What are some good light weight hunting rifles? I would like something small and compact. I have been looking at the Ruger m77 compact in 7mm-08. I'd like something .270 Winchester or bigger as this will be for deer. I want to keep the price under $600 as I need some left over for a scope. Any suggestions?
If hunting open range: 7MM Rem Mag or Savage .30-06
If hunting brush and thick areas: Winchester .30-30
If hunting in both: 270 Winchester (or 223)
