USMC and Army, the differance?
A question, suppose two soldiers were standing in front of me both in their dress uniforms. one is a marine, the other an army soldier. can someone with experience please describe to me the differences between these two men? why would one chose army over marine corp, vise versa ect....? thank you
There is no discernible difference between the two. Both are patriots serving their country. You will find reasons for joining are different for everyone. Many military families have long traditions of serving in one branch of the military (look at the McCain family and their service in the navy). I know a kid from my home town who recently joined the Marine Corps - he joined the military becausee he wanted to serve and he chose the Corps because his uncle was recently killed in the line of duty in Iraq. I joined the Army becaus I wanted to be in an airborne unit and the Army is the only branch that has airborne units.
