i was looking for paintball guns so i wanted to look at the different kinds on walmart.com. and im interested in buying a tippman 98 custom. some say tippmann 98 custom pro series. then there is platinum series, and there is ultra basic. what is the difference between all three?
Fuck you first guy. The Tippmann 98C is the AK-47 of paintball markers. Run it over with a truck, you can still rely on it completely.
You can pick up a marker package on eBay and save a load of money. Mines 5 years old at least, and works like new. ~$300 package for $150.
The Ultra Basic is the standard Custom 98. No frills, no bells and whistles, just straight reliability. Plain bottomline, 8" loud-as-hell barrel.
The Pro has an 11" stock barrel, stock double trigger, and drop forward (I want to say 3", but don't accept it as fact).
The Pro Platinum is a top 1913 picatinny rail, stock double trigger, 11" barrel, smaller back sight, drop forward, smaller receiver, and feed neck designed for the new receiver.
