What do I need to make vinyl wall decals/stickers?

I want to make and sell these for walls, skateboards, furniture- anything it will stick to. What kind of printer should I get that prints and die-cuts vinyl? Where do I find a decent one and how much do they cost on average?

This isn't a new idea, I'm not stealing it- lots of people are selling them, including Urban Outfitters
I think you could buy a roll of vinyl, then cut out the picture you want with a stencil. Then spray a light adhesive on the back.
Or, you could just buy these ones from etsy. I don't know how the original artist would feel about you copying her. Perhaps change the designs around a bit so its your own.
