My escort revs are all over the place.?
I have a 97 escort, when I dip the clutch the revs go very high. at times I dont have to touch the acclerator as the revs are high enough to drive the car forward. Any ideas? I thought maybe I am burning oil or the pertrol injector needs replacing. Other times when I go to start the car up, the engine seems to be hunting and the revs are up and down, then once I start driving as soon as I come to a stop the enegine revs die and the car cuts out. But then after I start it again it runs fine for the rest of the day. So I am also thinking maybe I have a faulty choke? I have no idea, any suggestions would be great. Cheers
Sounds like the car is a Shed...Cost more to Repair than its worth....
