i want a not so expensive red dot scope for my rifles?
I have done a lot of missing this season mostly because this is my first year really shooting a gun with a scope. I feel i might would do a lot better with one of these type scopes. I have a rem. 30-06 and a win. 7mm i want to put a red dot on both of them so if anyone has any suggestions that would be nice. thanks for your help.
red dot sights are usually more inaccurate than a standard reticle. They are designed for short range tactical style work, although they have been 'adopted' for other short range work like some game hunting.
Make sure your scopes are zeroed in correctly. Its standard to sight in at 100 yards (POA=POI), if you are shooting either very close or much father, sight in for your common range.
A red dot isnt the answer, believe me.
