.223 rifle with an Dragunov look and feel?
Ok heres the deal. I was going to buy an SKS and put a Dragunov stock on it. Easy. But then i did a bit of research and found out that 7.62x39 rounds are extremely inaccurate after 150 yards or so. So i found out that a .223 Remington Heavy Grain will be accurate up to and including 600 depending on your rifle. So heres the dilema. I hate the look, feel, and everything else about AR15 style rifles. Not all...just most..Almost all DPMS rifles most of Bushmaster.....I want a .223 rifle with a Dragunov stock or similar...any advice would be great.
...And if you say Mini 14 ...so help me!!!!!

They come in a sporter model similar to an SKS but you can convert them to an AK47 style rifle. I'm not really sure about a dragunov stock but you still end up with an AK47 style rifle chambered in a .223. Now the trick is the magazines. The plastic ones you find are junk and good high caps are in short supply. But there is a solution, they make an adaptor to convert the rifle over to using AR15 magazines. These are a lot cheaper and easier to find. As for accuracy, it's better than an AK47 (7.62X39) but it's still not doesn't equal an AR15.
One more option is an AK74 which uses the 5.45X39 cartridge. This round is pretty close to the .223/5.56 cartirdge in terms of bullistics. I'm not sure about accuracy but again, it's typically more accurate than a standard AK47 and it's still not an AR15.
Keep in mind the features that make the AK so reliable is also which hurts it's accuracy. The reverse is true with an AR15, the features that makes an AR so accurate can cause problems cycling the action when dirty.
And either of the above listed rifles are a lot more reliable and probably more accurate than a Mini 14
