and the Mississippi River -- she's a goin' dry
the interest is up and the stock market's down
and ya only get mugged if ya go down town
now i live back in the woods -- you see?
my woman and the kids and the dogs and me..

i can plow a field all day long, and i can catch catfish from dusk till dawn
make our own whiskey and our own smoke to.. ain't too many thangs these ol' boys can't do.
we grow good ol' maters and homemade wine and a country boy can survive A COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE!!

When socety in the US fails and we have to fall back to the basics of living. Hunting, Gathering and growing our own food. Yes the country boy will survive. City people that know nothing about how to do these things will perish.
