I have a Bushmaster XM15 E2S with a holographic sight. I usually shoot it at 50 - 75 yard distances. I just got it sighted in too and I probably get 2-4 inch groups. This is a stupid question but I put the dot in the middle of the reticle, right on top of the front iron sight correct? Thanks.

Some people thinks this helps with acquiring targets but it's not really necessary. It's more of a personal preference thing but I think having the iron sight in my sight picture is just too much clutter so i use flip down iron sights. If you zero your eotech in then anything as far as how you are looking at it is correct. That is how a holosight works and why they are so darn expensive. No matter how you look through it, it will still be on target.
