This may be a stupid question, but I'm new to coyote hunting and I've read that it's best to hunt them at night. That said, how do you hold up a light (flashlight or spotlight) and fire a gun at them at the same time? I also read that you should not shine the light directly in their eyes, but the outer rim of the beam should be hitting them so you don't spook them. That sounds difficult since you have to hold a rifle and aim it right at them at the same time. So I was just wondering how other hunters do that. Thanks.
Some states do not allow coyote hunting at night. Some do not allow artificial light. Others allow lights. There are lights with red lenses that supposedly they can not see very well. There are mounts that allow you to mount a light on your firearm. You could also use a bipod and hold the light in your off hand.
