Thinking of buying the SIG 556 carbine. Any owners know if it comes with iron sights? I've heard mixed things. Some say it comes with rear sights that fold down into the top rail essentially. Others say theirs came with a front flip-up sight as well. Others say it comes with neither.
As an Authorized Sig Sauer Dealer I can tell you that the gun you are looking at is a "conversion" and has the sights removed and replaced with the flat top Picatinny Rail in place of the Rear Sights, and no front sights. So the people that have told you it comes with NO sights are in fact correct. As with most conversions the sight parts are sent along loose in the box after removal.
