What is the diffrence between 466 fps and 350 fps?
I want to by a new airsoft gun. It is either a 350 fps full metal body aftermath airsoft gun ($279) or a 466 metal and wood body tompson ($150). I plan to play airsoft against friends. so which should i get? And how much damage will each do?

Fps is a rating of speed, as in feet per second. The faster the fps, generally the better the gun. 466 fps is very good, but if you want to go to any airsoft events, it is too high, as most locals limit guns to 400 fps. Airsoft bb's can break the skin, and hurt more the faster they go. For most hits, you will feel a sharp sting and after a few seconds, you wont even feel it anymore. You might not feel it at all if hopped up on adrenaline during a game. Be careful though, because if hit in the eye, bb's can cause serious damage. Always wear eye protection!
