Is it dangerous to look at a laser's point.?
I know its dangerous to look directly into a laser, but is it dangerous to stare at the dot on the wall in which the laser is pointing to?
I got a green laser.
No the light is not as concentrated as when it comes out of the beam it will disperse somewhat and become more dim.
Even with regular toy lasers it isn't really harmful to quickly look at the point but a longer time might be detrimental. A stronger laser which has more energy can literally fry the optical cells and blind the person possibly permantly. If the laser goes through a concave inward lens it can even become more concentrated such as a magnifying lens and can cause more damage to a single area of the eyes but most of the time it is safe to look at it if it travels a distance away from the source.
