You evidently didn't get the manual with the pistol. . .
DO NOT SHOOT CAST OR SWAGED LEAD BULLETS IN ANY GAS-OPERATED DESERT EAGLE PISTOL! SHOOT JACKETED BULLETS ONLY!
Or any gas operated firearm, for that matter. Lead fouling will build up and seal the gas port, causing the mechanism to lock up. Once this happens with a round in the chamber, only a trained gunsmith can safely unlock the slide, without damaging the weapon.
This warning is glaringly notated in all the gas operated Desert Eagle pistol operator's manuals.
Cast & swaged lead bullets are completely safe to shoot in any recoil-operated auto pistol with standard 'land & groove' rifling, but NOT in pistols with polygonal rifling, like the H-K and Glock pistols.
