to increase durability and function i wanted to change these items on my 1911 for an upgrade. because the seem to be the parts to most often break.
my question.... is it that hard to fit the pin stop, thumb safety and extractor?
will i notice any improvements?

It would not be hard to fit the items, but a Kimber is made very well, and their saying is you will not see any sign of meaningfull wear before 50,000 rounds, I shoot a lot and dont think I will get to that point anytime before I die. If you are doing these things for looks is one thing, for durability, I would say save your money
