Anyone know what this story is called?
Its a story I read in my textbook Freshman year.
A guy crashes his boat on an island. When he explores the island he finds a house with the weird rich guy living in it who is an avid hunter. He informs him the he likes the hunt people for the thrill of it and that he is going to give the ship-wrecked guy a head start on the island. They play cat and mouse all night but the ship-wrecked guy eventually outsmarts the hunter and wins.
I think one of the characters name is Rainford? Sound familiar to anyone?
I remember reading this! It was a good story.
It's called The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell.
