I know that surviving in polar and desert areas is extremely hard, but still is it in a area with vegetation? What if I am a vegan in a jungle of Papua New Guinea, I hunt fish and eat plants. If I eat raw plants, I don't eat mushrooms. But I have knowledge about plants and know if it's edible. I make a shelter on a tree, just adding some leaves and sticks to support the tree. I hunt fish with rock, traps or hands. In jungle the climate is hot, so I don't need warm clothes. Well it's rainforest, so is the rain cold for me? I don't use tools, no knife, no sticks or other. There are no predators. I won't eat bugs.
Im asking this because I have no experience, I know that it's possible in this scenario there are people who lived in wilderness in that way. What about malaria, diseases, venomous insects or snakes?
the whole part about surviving is being put in extreme situations...you want more of a escape...just to live with what you build and what you find... its completely possible just make sure that you get enough info about your local environment...always boil water due to pollution and parasites... u already know about plants and just freshen up on fish species prone to parasites...always cook meat
its very possible but there will always be a struggle against the wilderness and there will always be danger... if you are looking to survive a worry free life in the jungle then you will never be satisfied... but you can live off the land in that manner.... but the rain would be cold....beware of getting fungus on your feet from dampness... i would suggest having a gun and phone just in case
i think what your really asking is not is it possible but instead is it a stupid idea.... if you do a lot of research and know exactly what your getting into than do it...but they call it wilderness for a reason, its wild... i beleive there are plenty of preditors in new ginea or at least threatening species...it would probably be best to learn survival techniques incase you do get in a bad scinario...
