I'm putting together a first-aid kit, and I don't really know what type of bag/case/container is best to keep the supplies in. I purchased a small kit recently to get some of the supplies that I was looking for, and that came with a hard plastic case, but it's so tightly packed that there's hardly any room for me to add anything else to it. I also plan to take this first aid kit hiking with me, and it's rather cumbersome to carry a big, hard plastic case through the woods with me. I'm hoping someone who has experience with this sort of thing can give me a nudge in the right direction.
I don't have any idea how much you're planning on putting in your kit, but the one I currently use for in my car is in a makeup back-- one that's about 10 inches wide by 10 inches tall. (that's a rough guess, lol) I found the bag at my local Wal-mart, and find it's perfect for what I need it for. The one I found also has a zipper compartment in the lid, which is convenient for small things that will either get lost or need to be accessible, such as band-aids, or a pen and paper.
