me paint over paintball co2 tank, illegal?
i spray painted my 12 ounce co2 tank matte black and scraped off the thing that says that it is a twelve ounce tank ( you know that sticker on all of the tanks) my friends say this is illegal, are they correct. they have tank covers that you put over them, the only differance is that it it permanant. i was going for a tactical all black look, i have a tippmann 98 custom with 14 inch black barrel and adjustible stock.
It might be. Those tanks probably have to have some sort of certification saying that they are safe to be under that much pressure. Even if yours is certified and you cover it up then the people at the paintball place might not let you use it, because they cannot see the certification saying it is safe. That is just an opinion, because I am not 100 percent sure.
