i have traveled abroad with normal spring powered pistols in my luggage and noone made a problem bout it. i am going abroad in some time and i would like to know if there would be a problem putting the pistol in WITH a packet of co2 cartridges and the metal bbs?? when i say luggage i mean the bags u give in before the flight, not the stuff i carry with me on the plane.?

I have carried guns across the border and overseas in my checked luggage. Some airlines required that I pack them into a hard suit case and not one of those soft cloth ones. The guns had to be unloaded of course. I always told the TSA that I did carry a gun in my checked luggage so they knew I wasn't trying to sneak it through. If you intend to carry the ammunition as well and check 2 bags you might want to put the gun in one and the ammo in the other bag. Some airlines would mark the bag as containing a firearm. I would check with the airlines you intend to fly with since now the rules tend to vary from one airline to the next. If you are leaving the country you might also want to check with customs. We found that sometimes we are allowed to take a weapon out of the country but then can not bring it back into the country which is crazy to me.
