Is it illegal to use Airsoft guns in a public park?
me and my friends want to have a battle thing with our airsoft guns (for those who dont know they're toy guns that shoot plastic bb's instead of bullets or paintballs or metal bb's. they cant do much damage) but i'm not sure if it is legal to have in a public park. i am pretty sure it's not illegal, but i want to be absolutely sure.
YES. It is illegal to fire an Airsoft gun in public, and also a bad idea to be carrying one. As cops, we don't look at a person with a gun and say, "Hmm, that's probably fake." If it looks real, we treat it like it's real. You could end up with real police guns pointed at you if your Airsoft gun is mistaken for a hand gun.
