how do i get the 'old' smell out of my antique piece of (wooden) furniture?
i have this wooden antique dresser in my room.
it smells like 'old' and i don´t know how to get the smell out.
i don't like putting stuff in it anymore, because the smell somehow gets onto the stuff too.
i've tried leaving the doors open for a couple of days to let some air in, but it only works so much and then a couple of days later the smell is back.
and i don´t want to use any kind of air freshener.
any ideas what i could do?
That will be very difficult to do, because the odor is in the wood itself.
You can try maybe to paint it or varnish it. I am really not too sure.
Call an antique shop and ask them or even your local home improvement store.
I really don't know.
