Freak barrels are waaaay overrated (and overpriced)- all you need is a good paintball to barrel fit, and you're in good shape. There are charts online that will tell you what your barrels bore size is and what paint fits it best, and you won't have to mess with 18 inserts and other crap that can get lost or be damaged more easily.
Anything over 16" in a barrel is a total waste- it does nothing for your accuracy. In fact, it slows the ball down, causing you to use more air to get the same fps and actually decreases range and accuracy slightly. Ideal barrels are from 12-16" long, and I'd recommend you look at either a Stiffi/Blackcell C, a Dye Boomstick, a J&J ceramic, or something from Lapco or Smart Parts. All are well made, accurate barrels that perform very well. The Stiffi and J&J's are also a bit quieter and easier to clean than some others.
Oh yeah- muzzle breaks may look cool , but they don't really help anything, and they can make your barrel harder to clean if you have a break. Buy one if you want to, but only for looks.
