I'm going to play airball for the first time soon, I own 2010 PE distortion pants, a medium jersey, a chest protector, shitty gloves, and a neck protector. What else should I buy? I have no problem spending money on paintball protection so what else should I buy? Slider shorts? Pads? Also, I want to know what I should wear for crotch and neck protection
You do not need any more protection from paintball hits.. The clothing that you suggested will work because you want the paintballs to hit the loose fitting clothing and bounce off. The only padding you need is elbow, knee and maybe slider shorts. This is not to protect you from paintballs but to protect you when you are sliding and crawling. Two things will end you day quick and that's going to slide and your knee cap landing on a rock and of course getting hit in the nuts with a paintball. Been there done that wouldn't recommend it. I personally do not wear a cup, but I have experienced the consequences of not. If you are comfortable with it then wear it. As for your neck, a neck protector and maybe some clothing that covers your neck are about all you can do. Without going in depth with tactics, I shoot with my chin slightly tucked and the important part my neck is rarely exposed. If I do get hit in the neck it is usually in the side and that's where the protector will come in.
