Paintballs or Reballs?
a buddy and i are looking at opening a indoor paintball field, being a avid player that i am i know what i like, we are wondering what you our potentinal customer what would you perfer, standard paintball or Reball the rubber ball same shape and size of a paintball.
Paintballs are much better.
When someone gets hit, you need to see paint on them to easily call them out. If you use reballs, there is no way to tell if they've been hit. THis would lead to a lot of cheating. Also, with reballs, you would have to make sure people turn their velocity down to around 220fps, instead of around 270fps for paintballs. That means there's more drop off when you're shooting reballs.
Last, the money. Paintballs can only be used once, where reballs can be reused tons of times. You'd make way more money selling paintballs than you would if you sold reballs, because nobody really buys reballs from a reball field. You would probably also have a problems with people stealing reballs.
