why do so much people dislike smart parts paintball guns?? THEY ARE ALL GOOD GUNS
No, they are not the same. The NXT will cycle faster and comes stock with a faster board.
People dislike Smart Parts because they are an evil company. I say this because older companies (I'm not dragging other companies into my rant) would create such things as switches to turn guns on and off and then Smart Parts would come along years later and patent it as their own. So now, they're getting paid royalties everytime another company uses any device to turn their guns on and off.
Another thing is that people HATE Ions, because they are "crap." I don't agree with this at all. They're great, reliable, beginner electro markers and will treat you well as long as you treat them well. I hang out in a couple paintball shops regularly and fix guns in there when I get bored. I'd have to estimate that 90% of errors with Ions are the user's fault. People also hate them because everyone seems to have one (which is completely untrue, as I have never owned one).
I have a Freeflow Shocker and it treats me well. I have to lube it twice a day for some stupid reason (yes, I have put new o-rings on it). It's a nice, smooth, consistant marker. I still prefer my Ego though, because it's less of a pain to maintain. That's the only downside to Smart Parts guns that I've ever thought of. A lot of kids buy Ions thinking "OMG I gots myself a paintball gun!" and don't realize the responsibility that comes with it. I spend two or three hours maintaining my gear, every week. I like their guns, but I hate their evil business tactics (although it is very smart of their part).
