Hunting whitetail deer with an AK-47?
My new Bulgarian AK-47 did better than I thought and it exceeded my expectations in accuracy. The AK-47 shoots the 7.62 x 39mm round and there is hunting soft point ammo available for hunting purposes. It will kill deer and hogs efficiently. Hunters have successfully harvested deer with scoped SKS rifles.
I purchased a scope mount with picatinny rails for my AK-47, I can't wait to go to the range and mount my scope on it and sighting it in at 100 yards. I am purchasing a box of Federal Premium's Vital Shok 7.62 x 39mm 123 grain Nosler partition round for hunting.
I can't wait to go deer hunting with it this coming deer season! By the way, I live in Texas and we Texans can hunt deer with AK-47's.
What do you think?
Would you hunt deer with an AK-47 too?
I succesfully hunted a red deer (red stag) bull in south Texas with an AK last year at about 80 yards, this year I hunted red deer cow with and AR-15 at about 100 yards.
So I say WHY NOT?
