Best .22LR chambered rifle?
I'm not looking for show guns, bolt actions, fancy pieces of crap that break or silly 5 round magazine kalifornia rifles.
I'm looking to get a good all around rugged rifle that can take a beating, has a high magazine capacity, fires semi or auto (I've never heard of a .22 LR automatic rifle) has multiple accessory options and a good consumer base.
Conversion kits for rifles that normally shoot other calibers are also of interest (For example the AR-15 conversion kit)
Like all the answers on this page, the Ruger 10/22 is your best bet. Its not too expensive, has plenty of add ons, and is a great rifle.

A good stock to go on it would be the Blackhawk Axiom stock.

You would probably want to replace the scope base on it because it has a rep. for coming off. A good choice would be Weaver.
