Pistol Grip Pad

Pistol Grip Pad
what do i have to do to change the stock on my remington 870 12 ga to a pistol grip?

it does have a rubber but pad which has two holes for screw access..is it a phillips head...and is it really just that easy
i only want the pistol grip for if i ever need to use it at home and for just a lil added challenge..im not gonna go hunting with a pistol grip

slick up the screwdriver with some soap ...if you dont the rubber will bind and tear as you spin the phillips screwdriver removing the recoil pad screws.

There is a big hole under the buttpad... you will need a long screwdriver or a socket and extension to loosen a screw or bolt that passes through the wrist of the stock into the rear of the frame.

Ever pump or auto shotgun I've ever seen is assembled similar to this... I cant recall if the 870 uses a bolt- headed screw or a sloted screw.. and that may vary with the age of the shotgun.
