Recently my home was broken into and they stole my smith and wesson revolver.Now I am looking into getting a new conceal carry weapon.My husband has a small glock 9mm,but I think it is a bit fat for my taste.I will be carrying in a holster that straps around the waist under the pants,I would like a slim pistol that does not jam,preferbly a 9mm,38,or 40 caliber.I want the gun to be in the conceal carry size range-nothing longer than 5-6 inches.I want a weapon I can count on.thanks and GOD-bless

The 3913 sounds right for you. It is a 9. They originally called it the "lady smith".
I am a 6' tall guy but have used the 3913 for years. I have small hands and it handles and hides well for me.
Since you are a former revolver person you won't mind that it only holds 8.
Pistols need to be kept cleaner and oiled more regularly than revolvers.
if you would be happy with another smith revolver the 5 shot 642 is great. J frame is thin for a revolver and its is hammer less and reliable as all get out.
