I have the new MacBook Pro, yes the one with the black keyboard and nvidia 9400m (mobile) graphics and a processor running at 2.26 ghz. Now it has the 2gb of RAM that it came with and this is fast enough but yes at times it does get stuck and it is slow in certain areas. Would the up-grade to 8gb of RAM make this MBP an almost click-then-respond-straight-away os platform to run the other apps/games/programs? Or, would I get the same response with say 4gb of RAM? Also has anyone else done the 8gb in the 13" 2.26 ghz CPU MBP? I would love to know the performance? If not a link to someone who has or a video showing just how fast this would be would be great.
Just to add, but this isn't really apart of this but this would be nice to see what other users think, why is the RAM for these new MBP so bloody expansive?! I mean on eBay a single 4gb stick of RAM for my new MBP is £359.00 (it was free P&P, isn't that nice of them, a?!).
8GB will be useful if you do a lot of professional image or video editing. Otherwise, 4GB is perfect.
Why the hell would you shop for RAM on eBay? Two 2 GB sticks for that machine should run about $60 US. You're just looking for your basic 1066 MHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM.

If you're having some specific slowness, please post your questions. What is stuck and what areas are slow? I use a nearly 3 year old 15" MBP 2.16 with 4GB ram and it's damn quick.
