i just got it the other day and i cant get it too shoot. sometimes it will shoot and then it just stops. the battery is fully charged and the clip is loaded. i know the barrel and bb's are very clean. i looked in the manual and it dsnt tell me much. if someone could help that would be great.
Firstly, it's a highcap mag, not a 'gear wind-up mag'...
Highcap mags work by clockwork. You wind a coil spring which turns a toothed wheel which feeds BB's up the feed tube from a reservoir.
The clockwork mechanism needs to be fully wound for the mag to feed properly, winding until the BB's come to the top of the feed tube isn't enough.
Keep winding the wheel until the noise of the mechanism changes. It'll go from "click click click click click" to "click click click CLUNK click click click CLUNK." Don't worry about over winding it as the clunk noise is the safety ratchet preventing the spring being overwound then it's already fully wound.
Don't expect to get a full mag from one wind of the spring, you'll need to top up the winding as you fire. It's a good idea to top off the winding at any opportunity you get - lulls in the fighting, while taking cover etc...
When the mag runs out, you'll hear the spring unwind with a whizzing noise, this is normal.
