Would it be a good/acceptable idea to have an activity day which included Air Rifle/Pistol shooting?

Would it be a good/acceptable idea to have an activity day which included Air Rifle/Pistol shooting? Its for my birthday, I myself am skilled with using air rifles/pistols as I have had plenty of practice and I respect that all weapons are dangerous. I don't plan on inviting many people as I only trust my close friends that far. Two of them go to scouts and shoot rifles every now and then, so I imagine they also know how to respect a weapon. We are or (or will be) 14. My friends also like the idea of that. Is this a good idea? Do you think my dad approve if I asked him? Would the parents of the friends I plan to invite approve?

I'm glad you feel a sense of responsibility, but you only "imagine" they also know how to respect a weapon.
Imagine is not very certain and with guns, that's a problem.
