Sliding Stock Fits

I Just bought a brand new sunrider softop by bestop for my 1997 wrangler TJ and i have had some troubles with it. the main problem is that the header channels will not latch into the holes on my winshield frame of my Jeep. Its as if they were made incorrectly, because the end of the latches are V shaped and really small, while the stock holes of my jeep are rounded and wide. My Jeep came with a hardtop from the factory and the hardtop latches fit perfectly in the holes. Everytime i try to close the latch, it just slides right back out of the hole. has anyone else had this problem before??
