Compared to my brother and sister, I do a lot around the house. I'm not being spoiled, I'm just asking how much would be fair. My mother offers to pay me, and so does my dad. Smooth! I wish I had been paid for all the things I had to do when I was a kid growing up with my family. My mum's excuse was they were life skills and I would thank her later, fair comment now as she was right.
Charge per job completed, dishes from putting in to packing away $5.
folding laundry $3
tidying and washing down kitchen tops $3
sweeping and washing the kitchen floor $5
hoovering (per room) $2
putting the bins out $3
If you do little jobs then charge the low rate per job the bigger the job the more it costs, it looks like tiny money but it adds up but gives your momma and daddy a chance to give you a bit more if they have extra spare. You also wont get bored with the same jobs and some a quick easy money.
I used to get pocket money when my dad had bonus and extra over time but I used to also help neighbours with leaf clearing and little gardening jobs for extra money if I wanted to save for something.
