Can I use flexible pipe in my central heating system?
I have to relocate a radiator in my house. Can I use the flexible rubber, steel braided hose to bring the 15mm copper pipe round a corner? Not only do the pipes have to go through a 90 degree turn for the wall, but they also have to cross over the hot and cold supply to the kitchen and utility room. The alternative is to use soldered copper joints. Which I can do, but it will look like a piece of moden art!
The internal bore of the flexibles is nominally 10mm so this might put too much back pressure in the system, plus the heat may be too much for the hose.
Go for the hep2o,make sure you use the barrier type and dont forget the inserts for the fittings.
