Stock Replace Part
i have a whirlpool ceramic cooktop with a crack which needs replacing. whirpool no longer stock this part????

How do i go about this. The model is (whirlpool) AKM198. the problem is that the knob functions for the oven and the grill are on the ceramic hob plate so i need to find a replacement with the same set up so that i can still use the oven/grill below?????

Hi Ashley, I looked up your model number and it is showing that it is a cook top only. The number you gave is only a partial model but all associated numbers come up as a cook top only. Unfortunately, when a manufacturer decides to no longer stock parts, there is very little you can do as these tops are made especially for that particular model. Sometimes, you may find a model cross over, but the parts books don't give you size. Honestly, I think it is time to invest in a new cook top /oven assembly.
