I currently own two cheap beretta spring pistols and UTG 870 CQB Shotgun and was looking to add rifle of some kind to my collection but was unsure of what to get.
As far as my playing style i like to be pretty stealthy even having a shotgun. At first i started to think about a sniper rifle when i came upon the UTG Master Sniper Airsoft Spring Rifle on amazon.com. I have done a lot of research on it and it seems like the best sniper in my price range (under $150). If there is another in this range capable of upgrades please tell me.
After questioning getting a sniper, i starting looking into AEG rifles, because my brother has a spring rifle and it just pisses me off. I am caught in between the AEG Electric Warhawk UTG AK 47 Assault Rifle and some variation of the M16 rifle maybe with a red dot laser and/or flashlight attachment since we play when it is a little darker out.
If you decide on an AEG make sure it has a metal gearbox.
Several Tokyo Marui clones with metal gearboxes can be found for under 100.00. These can be repaired with high quality Marui guts if and when they break or you decide to upgrade. Like most Marui AEG's, they will have plastic bodies, but what do you expect for a bargain basement price? They are quite durable for plastic.
There are plastic gearbox guns for under Fifty bucks, but they are only cool-looking toys... Great for living room op's -but short lived, and non-repairable.
