Question about scales and measures for powder, reloading ammo, hunting section?
Hey reloaders, what scales do you use for your weighing your powder charge's? Beam scales or electronic? I'm thinking of upgrading my beam scale for an electronic for doing small batch precision rifle cartridges. I normally use Dillon powder measures on my 550's, but recently tried an RCBS uniflow on my single stage and like it. Still, for doing precision rifle in small batches I have been weighing each charge on the Dillon beam scale, hence the thinking about an electronic metering scale, rcbs chargemaster 1500, Lyman 1200 DPS, and the PACT high speed are the 3 I've been looking at. Would you recommend one, or tell me to avoid one? Any help?
I always go to Cabelas to read their product reviews. Below is a link to the Chargemaster and it has 21 reviews. Looks pretty good. I think they also have the Lyman scale. I still use a beam scale, so I don't have any personal experience.
