Is The Smith & Wesson M&P9 Pistol Just Another Glorified Sigma?
I was working today at the gunstore where I work at and my manager had ordered a few S&W M&P pistols, the guns arrived this morning, I saw them and I kind of liked them. They were striker fired just like my Glock but the gun was more comfortable to hold and the trigger was better. But in terms of quality and performance, how would you rate them? Are they any better than the Sigmas or just another glorified Sigma pistol?
Both newtoguns and I have M&P 9's, so we're biased...I've had enough trigger time on the Sigma to tell you that the M&P is about 20x better. In every way.
My hometown police department switched from the Sigma to M&P. The officers will tell you that they are quite satisfied with the M&P, and never miss a chance to tell you what a POS the Sigma was.
The Sigma and M&P do not share a single interchangeable part, despite similar looks.
